THINGS TO DO THROUGHOUT THE SYMPOSIUM

Ongoing events to take advantage of while in Little Rock:

Visit the Trail of Tears traveling exhibit at the Statehouse Museum between the Peabody and Doubletree Hotels!
Check out the world famous March of the Peabody Ducks at the Peabody Hotel everyday at 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. It’s a smile inducing experience, so be sure to have your cameras ready!
Get out on the trails and visit the many fascinating areas throughout Little Rock and North Little Rock, including the art along the Medical Mile, and the breathtaking views from the Big Dam Bridge. The trails await you! Be sure and use the trail map located on the inside back cover of the Registration Brochure to guide you along.
Visit the Exhibit Hall in between concurrent sessions and workshops and say hello to all of our exhibitors! Show them your support just like they have shown their support as a sponsor of the National Trails Symposium.

Trail Talk - Continental Breakfast with an Expert

Dates: Sunday, November 16, 7:30 a.m. – 8:15 a.m.
Monday, November 17, 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.
Location: Dining Hall

Trail Talk is a great opportunity to informally connect and network with other attendees. Enjoy coffee and pastries before the formal sessions start, join a round-table discussion on a variety of topics, catch up on news from the previous night’s social events, meet old friends, or make a point of making new friends. The name says it all... talk trails!

Poster Sessions

Beautiful and educational posters will be displayed in a designated area in the Exhibit Hall throughout the Symposium. A poster is a smaller scale format that displays information about a program, project, or issue to a wider audience. Individuals displaying posters will have an opportunity to share their “story” and to meet with interested attendees at designated times during the Symposium. Silent & Live Auctions

Thanks to our generous contributors, we have a great selection of auction items from which to choose. Bring your wallets ~ you won’t want to miss out on these great items! The Silent Auction items will be displayed in the Exhibit Hall. Silent Auction bidding begins on Saturday, November 15 at 2:00 p.m. and closes on Monday, November 17 at 6:00 p.m. The Live Auction will be held during the “Trails Rock” Party at the Clinton Presidential Library on Sunday, November 16. You can view a list of the Live Auction items beforehand in the Exhibit Hall in the Silent Auction area. If you would like to contribute items to the auctions, contact the Auction Chairs: Jennifer Michaels at (479) 445-7897 (jennifer@ mississippirivertrail.org) or Bryan Kellar at bryan.kellar@ arkansas.gov. All donors will be provided recognition.

Creative Crosings Photo Galery - Show off your Trail Bridge!

During the Symposium, you will have an opportunity to share the beauty of your trail bridge
in the Creative Crossings Photo Gallery. Recent years have seen the construction of some strikingly
beautiful and innovative trail bridge designs. American Trails would like to showcase those bridges through a photo gallery to be displayed in the Exhibit Hall and on the American Trails website.

Submission Instructions: We want your trail bridge photos!

Submit a 300+ dpi photo (at least 2MB in size, but preferably 4+MB) in TIF, EPS, or JPG format, along with the name and location of the bridge, photo credit (if needed), and a short description of the bridge. Email your items by September 30 to the American Trails office at symposium@americantrails.org with the subject line: Creative Crossings Photo Gallery.
