American Trails' work helps address todays critical issues: how to increase physical fitness and mental well-being, strengthen family ties, offer healthier lifestyle choices for children and seniors, and provide safe routes for transportation. What are the benefits of advertising with American Trails? The American Trails Magazine is mailed to all of American Trails' members, as well as distributed to 4,500 additional trail professionals throughout the country and internationally. In addition, this popular, cutting-edge newsletter is circulated throughout agencies and organizations and the total reach is estimated to be a target audience of 9,000 with each mailing. All past issues of Trail Tracks are placed on the American Trails Web site. Because of the practical and ongoing usefulness of this informative publication, readers tend to hold on to these issues for future reference. The American Trails website is the most extensive site for the trail professional and enthusiast to get cutting-edge information on a wide variety of topics including: funding for trails; designing, building, and maintaining trails; protecting access to trails; greenway development; open space preservation; accessible trails; private sector products and services related to trails and to specialty construction practices; volunteer recruitment; selling the physical, mental, social, spiritual, and economic benefits of trails; current legislation; creating sustainable partnerships; hot issues; wildlife and trails; building strong local and statewide organizations for trails; trail advocacy; and much more! In addition, American Trails has an extensive, continuously updated calendar of training opportunities throughout the country and internationally. The American Trails site also hosts the National Trails Training Partnership (NTTP) and the National Recreation Trails program. Back issues of the American Trails Magazine and Trail Tracks can be found on this site. You can link to the largest trail-related publication libraries in the world. One of the features that individual trail users, as well as managers especially enjoy is the "America's Trails State-by-State" section. There is a page for each of the 50 states and Canada's provinces with active links to trail-related sites and organizations. One click and the visitor can reach any state's trail user and trail advocacy organizations; local, state, and federal trail-managing agencies; state and federal parks, and more! By advertising on the Web site or in Trail Tracks you will not only draw a targeted audience to your product or services but will also support the important work that American Trails does to serve the needs of the trails community all year long. Who is our audience? Trail managers, planners, builders, maintainers, contractors, engineers, volunteers, administrators, trail user and trail advocacy organizations, company/industry representatives, as well as the individual trail user.
