Disney's Coronado Springs Resort celebrates the character and traditions of the American Southwest and northern Mexico. With its wide-open meeting space, 21st century technology, and central location, the resort is an ideal location to hold the Symposium. The 1,967 guest rooms are divided into three villages-- Casitas, Cabanas, and Ranchos. The Resort is situated on a 15-acre lake circled by a paved pathway that connects restaurants and convention center.

From Orlando International Airport -- Toll Road (fastest route)

As you exit the airport, follow signs to the South Exit. This exits to 417 South (Toll). Continue on 417 to the Osceola Parkway (Toll) West (Exit 3). Follow Osceola Parkway until you see signs for All-Star Resorts/Blizzard Beach/Coronado Springs. At the traffic signal, turn right (Buena Vista Drive). Continue to Disney's Coronado Springs Resort on the left.

From Regional Orlando

Take I-4 West to Exit 65 (Osceola Parkway (Toll)). Then exit at Osceola Parkway West. Continue west on Osceola Parkway, then take exit for All-Star Resorts/Blizzard Beach/Coronado Springs. At the traffic signal, turn right (Buena Vista Drive). Continue to Disney's Coronado Springs Resort on the left.

From Tampa

Take I-4 East to Exit 62 (World Drive). Take exit for Disney's Animal Kingdom Resort Area (Osceola Parkway (Toll)). Continue West on Osceola Parkway, then exit for All-Star Resorts/Blizzard Beach/Coronado Springs. At the traffic signal, turn right (Buena Vista Drive). Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is on the left.

  Transportation between the Resort and other Disney locations is complimentary! Transportation guides are available upon hotel check-in. PLEASE NOTE: There is no shuttle service from Disney's Coronado Springs Resort housing clusters to the confer-ence center. Ranchos is farthest away and approximately a 15&endash;minute walk.

  TRANSPORTATION

  Airlines Delta Air Lines, the official airline for the National Trails Symposium, offers 5% -10% discounts and zone fares to Orlando International Airport from November 7 - 16, 2002. Book your flight early by calling Delta's Meeting Network Reservations Office toll free at (800) 241-6760 Monday through Sunday, 8:00 a.m. through 11:00 p.m. EST.

  Car Rental

  Avis Rent A Car has been chosen as the official car rental company for the National Trails Symposium with locations at Orlando International Airport and Downtown Disney World (Hilton Hotel). Vehicles may be rented and dropped off at any Avis location throughout the state of Florida at no additional charge. There is a 9.8% airport access fee for vehicles rented from any airport facility. Call Avis Reservations at (800) 331-1600 24 hours daily and refer to D006098, or book your vehicle when you make your Delta flight reservation. For local information you may call Avis at the Orlando Airport (407) 825-3718. The Avis rental facility is within walking distance of the Delta Airlines arrival area.

  For vehicle rentals from Disney World, call Avis at their Hilton Hotel desk (407) 827-2847 from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. seven days a week. With 24 hours notice, they will pick up renters from Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. The rates below apply with the addition of a 6.5% access fee and applicable taxes.   Ground

  Mears Transportation (407) 423-5566 -- Mears provides round trip shuttle service to/from the Orlando International Airport. The cost is $28 round trip (children 4-11 pay $20) and $16.00 one-way. You may purchase a round trip ticket with open return. From the air-port terminal, proceed to the Mears booth on the 2nd level and purchase the desired voucher (credit cards accepted.) Shuttles run 24 hours/day every 20 minutes and leave from the first floor baggage area of Delta, United, American, and Southwest Airlines. One-way transportation time is approximately 25 minutes. Call Mears 24 hours in advance of your desired departure time from Disney's Coronado Springs Resort.

  Amtrak

  Orlando Train Station, 1400 Sly Blvd., Orlando (407) 843-7611. Mears Transportation will pick up passengers from this station within one hour. Call Mears at (407) 423-5566.
