SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

The American Trails' Scholarship Program is designed to encourage and celebrate participation within the trails community. Scholarship funds are limited and will only be available to cover all or part of the cost of the Symposium registration. The American Trails Board will have full authority to make scholarship selections. Scholarship requests must be postmarked no later than September 2, 2002. Scholarship recipients will be notified by October 1, 2002.

To request a scholarship, please send a letter addressed to Kay Lloyd, Chair, American Trails and mail it to: Symposium Scholarship Fund, American Trails, P.O. Box 491797, Redding, CA 96049-1797

Include the following items in your letter:

  1. a short bio reflecting your trails experience and interest
  2. the reasons you are requesting a scholarship
  3. why attending the Symposium would benefit you or your organization
  4. how you can be contacted

Support documentation and/or recommendation letter(s) may be attached. If you need additional information, please contact the American Trails office: (530) 547-2060.

HOTEL RESERVATIONS

The hotel reservation line is (407) 939-1020, 8:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., EST. All you have to do is say you will be there for the National Trails Symposium.
