Along the Arizona Trail


Description

This 13.3-mile hike will be quick paced (2-3 mph) for fit hikers only. Hikers will be transported in 4-wheel drive vehicles to the location. The hike will begin at Mills Ridge Trailhead near the top of Four Peaks on the Arizona National Scenic Trail. A member of the Arizona Trail Association will conduct the hike and give perspectives on the management of a National Scenic Trail. The hike will include three half hour breaks. At one break members of the American Conservation Experience will be present to describe the work they are doing on the trail and their participation in the State Parks RTP Trail Maintenance Program. Bring your camera! Hikers must have day-pack with at least one gallon water bladder and sturdy hiking boots.

Lunch/Refreshments

Arizona Trail Association will provide trail lunch, snacks, and bottled water.

Difficulty Level

This is a hike for experienced hikers: 13.3 miles, elevation drop of 3000 feet.
