Rafting the Lower Salt River

The river adventures are conducted on both the Lower Salt and Lower Verde Rivers. The flow on both of these rivers is regulated by the Salt River Project, one of the local utility providers, to manage for a variety of demands, including flood control, irrigation and domestic water supply, ecosystem management, and recreation; this means that the amount of water flowing in either waterway fluctuates seasonally, and often not in relation to local weather conditions. Participants will learn about the water management strategies of the Salt River Project and experience the beauty of the Salt and Verde Rivers. Each raft will have a professional safety certified guide. Water proof shoes/sandals are required.

Difficulty Level

The trip is beginner friendly.
