Rolls OHV Area on the Mesa Ranger District of Tonto National Forest

This will be a slow-to-moderate paced ATV ride in the Rolls OHV Area on the Mesa Ranger District of the Tonto National Forest. The Tonto National Forest interfaces with the Phoenix metropolitan area on the north and east sides, and provides a wide range of use within easy driving distance, making it the most highly used forest in the U.S. This workshop will address the OHV management issues that face the Forest Service and how volunteer organizations such as Tonto Recreation Alliance help to fill many gaps. TRAL representatives will host the ride and provide an overview of the management techniques being implemented. There will be an open riding session at the end of the tour.

Lunch will be provided by Tonto Recreation Alliance

Difficulty Level

Participants must be experienced ATV riders and will be required to sign a release of liability. Participants MUST provide proof of ACI ATV Certification or letter from supervisor stating they are competent in ATV use. Participants must wear over the ankle boots, long pants, and a long sleeved shirt. Sunglasses can provide eye protection and goggles, helmets, and gloves will be provided.
