	Biking at Muleshoe Bend

Find out how volunteers took a leadership role in developing a new trail system on public lands. Muleshoe Bend is parkland owned by the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) in the scenic "highland lakes" region west of Austin. The Austin Ridge Riders Mountain Bike Club teamed up with the LCRA to build seven and one-half miles of natural surface trails. Ride with the Ridge Riders on this single-track trail with views of Lake Travis and the Hill Country. "Muleshoe" has something for everyone, but isn't too challenging for even the novice rider.

Members of the club's Austin Mountain Bike Patrol will offer tips on bike handling, trail etiquette, minor first aid, and bike repair. Discussions will also cover patrolling for safety and management. Clif Products will provide energy bars.
