Summer Positions Available
Could your organization use a little help this summer? The OSM/VISTA Teams and the Southwest Conservation Corps are proud to offer Summer Positions for your organization!
Summer Positions can assist your group with:
- Water monitoring
- Outreach and education
- Grant writing
- Historical research
- Program development
- GIS mapping
- Organizing volunteer projects
- Developing/updating websites
- Trail maintenance and building
- Interpretive services and more
Cost: $2,800
Start Dates:
There will be three different start dates: May 23, June 6 and June 13
Who is elibible to apply for a Summer Position?
- Nonprofit Organizations
- State and Federal Agencies
- Community Improvement Groups
- Watershed Organizations
Summer Position Benefits:
- $2,000 stipend (before taxes and workers compensation) for a 10-week service term
- $1,250 AmeriCorps Segal Education Award
- Support and resources from the OSM/VISTA Teams network
Recruiting:
- Intern must be 18 or older and at least a sophomore in college. Local recruiting is strongly encouraged. The Summer Programs Coordinator can also assist in recruiting and suggesting strong candidates.
