Hosted by AmericanTrails.org Colorado's Headwater Trails Alliance seeks Director Deadline: May 25, 2007 Job Title: Executive Director Supervisor: Board of Directors Headwater Trails Alliance (HTA) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that was established to promote, construct, and maintain multi-purpose trails throughout Grand County. HTA is funded by partner organizations including Grand County, Grand County municipalities, and Grand County recreation districts. The HTA Board of Directors is composed of a representative from each partner entity along with one at large representative. The Executive Director reports to the HTA Board of Directors and is responsible for implementation of Board policies and all administrative and operational functions of the organization. As a small organization, the Executive Director is relied upon for a wide variety of duties and serves as primary staff for all functions of the organization. Specific duties and responsibilities include the following: General Administrative Duties: Staff support to HTA Board (including agendas, minutes, records, etc) Office management and financial administration. Preparation of the annual budget Fundraising and Grant administration. Master Plan implementationCoordination and assistance for partner entities on trail efforts. Coordination of the Adopt a Trail Program Coordination of HTA contributions to National Public Lands Day Serve as an advocate for multi-purpose trails throughout Grand County Public and media relations Supervisory duties Responsible for supervision for seasonal staff, consultants, and volunteers. Other duties as may be assigned by the Board Headwater Trails Alliance is seeking an Executive Director. Candidates should be motivated with experience and/or interest related to non-profit administration and trail advocacy.
