American Trails Wins Kodak American Greenways Award We are delighted to announce that American Trails was selected for an important honor jointly awarded by The Conservation Fund, the Eastman Kodak Company, and the National Geographic Society. The citation reads:
"American Trails has been selected to receive the Kodak American Greenways Award for 2003. American Trails has been chosen for this prestigious national award in recognition of its leadership in supporting local, regional, and long-distance trails and greenways as well as for the work that has been done to provide increased trail opportunities for individuals with disabilities. "In making this decision, the judges felt that through your leadership, energy and dedication to the cause of heritage areas and trails, the vision of a national network of greenways and linked open spaces articulated by the President's Commission on Americans Outdoors, is well on its way to becoming a reality." The award, which was established by Kodak in partnership with The Conservation Fund and the National Geographic Society, was presented at the Mid America Trails and Greenways Conference in Indianapolis on September 22, 2003. Presenting the award were Edward T. McMahon, Vice-President of The Conservation Fund, and Hays Bell, Vice-President, Eastman Kodak Company. Present at the awards dinner were representatives of American Trails:
