World Trails Network

 

At the inaugural World Trails Conference in 2010, held on Jeju Island, South Korea, the Jeju Olle Foundation planted the seeds to form the World Trails Network. The World Trails Network (WTN) was officially launched at the 2012 World Trails Conference.

 

The World Trails Network Committee was established to create an inclusive and meaningful network that aims to support trails around the world, encouraging sustainable trail development, and an effective cross-promotional platform for trails. The goal of the World Trails Network is to encourage knowledge sharing, sustainable development of trails and tourism, a healthy trail culture, and protection of natural resources. 4th World Trails Conference held in Jeju, Korea

The Jeju Olle Foundation hosted the 4th World Trails Conference, where major trail organizations from all around the world gathered to discuss sustainable growth and enhanced network. Fifty trail institutions and organizations from 18 countries were present for the three-day-long conference in Jeju, Korea.

New Zealand Cycle Trail: great rides with a focus on tourism

A government investment of $NZ50 million into the New Zealand Cycle Trail project helped create the 1,000 mile network.
