Explore the Alleys of North and Northeast Portland by Bike

Date: Tuesday, May 19
Time: 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Cost: $40.00 (includes bike and helmet)
Transportation: Take MAX light rail to bike rental store downtown. Attendees must bring their TriMet pass they receive when checking in at Registration)
Skill Level: Easy - on city streets/alleys and bike lanes
Length: Approximately 11 miles

Enjoy a unique bike ride on some of the oldest alleys in Portland. Learn how bike lanes, bike boulevards, and wider-sidewalks have revitalized inner-city commercial districts and residential neighborhoods. Alleys were built to hide things such as garages, utility poles, and garbage cans. Learn how alleys and bike lanes provide an urban amenity for transportation and the quality of life.
