Strategic Thinking for Decision Making

Led by Tasha Harmon of New Perspectives Coaching, Training and Facilitation
Date: Sunday, May 17
Time: 9:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m.
Cost: $60

"Ways to Effectively Keep Your Eye on the Big Picture While Dealing with the Little Everyday Stuff"

Strategic thinking is an approach to decision-making that focuses on the future of the organization. Grounded in systems thinking, it changes the atmosphere of boards by moving the discussion beyond the usual operational thinking, bringing the lens of a sustainable future into all discussions about the present. Unlike strategic planning, strategic thinking is not something you do once every year or three; strategic thinking is a way of thinking and interacting that influences everything we do, every decision we make.

This interactive workshop will explore practical tools for using the strategic thinking approach, and provide questions the director or any board member can use to help their board use systems/strategic thinking as a foundation for decision-making. This practice leads to sustained, not random, success, and makes doing your good work easier.
