VIRGINIA STATE-WIDE OHV ASSOCIATION COMPLETES DEVELOPMENT MEETING
New Virginia Off Highway Vehicle Coalition is born.
From NOHVCC - February 2004
Just 40 days from their first NOHVCC organizational meeting, the new Virginia Off Highway Vehicle Coalition was born. 40 representatives from The motorcycle, ATV and four-wheel drive enthusiast groups from across Virginia gathered in Staunton and finalized the organization.
Key decisions were made on by-laws and new state association officers were elected.
This meeting was facilitated by NOHVCC and newly elected President, Robert Blankenship said ìThanks again for facilitating the meeting, Iím amazed and encouraged by the speed with which we accomplished our major goals.
VOVHC expects to have their final by-laws completed and initiate the state incorporation process within a few weeks. Tom McGrath a prominent Virginia motorcycle oriented attorney has taken the lead on finalizing the state incorporation and non-profit organization paperwork.
VOVHC set their mission as:
To establish and improve OHV opportunities in Virginia, through education, responsible land use, environmental sustainability and the promotion of safe, friendly, family oriented recreation. In addition they decided to extend an invitation to all off road enthusiasts in their new vision of Virginia trails: come ride with us.
NOHVCC congratulates the OHV enthusiasts of Virginia for taking the important step of forming an active and dedicated state association.
