AmericanTrails.org is one of the world's most comprehensive online sources for planning, building, designing, funding, managing, enhancing, and supporting trails, greenways, and blueways. This is an education portal and the information contained within this portal does in no way constitute legal advice. American Trails is a national, nonprofit organization working on behalf of all trail interests, including hiking, bicycling, mountain biking, horseback riding, water trails, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, trail motorcycling, ATVs, snowmobiling and four-wheeling. American Trails members want to create and protect America's network of interconnected trails. Our mission is to advance the development of diverse, high quality trails and greenways for the benefit of people and communities. Through collaboration, education, and communication, American Trails raises awareness of the value these trail systems offer.

Marketing

We collect your data strictly for event management and e-newsletters specifically related to American Trails news and event updates. We minimize the information we collect to only that which we need to ensure you have a successful event or get the information that you are interested in. We do not share your personal information with any other organizations, companies, individuals, or entities.

Your Right of Erasure, or to be Forgotten

You may request the deletion of any email we hold on you at any time.

Be aware that requesting deletion, unlike unsubscribing from specific emails, is total and irreversible. This means that we will also lose record of you having ever been in our systems, including any previous instructions you have given us opting out of specific emails types. If you re-join our systems, by voluntarily providing your personal information, you will appear to us as a new data subject. This does not affect your other rights in any way
